Privacy statement

This privacy policy has been prepared by Smart Vekst AS to ensure that you receive the information we are required to provide to you, and which is necessary for you to be able to exercise your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679 – "GDPR"). We act as a data controller with respect to the processing of the personal data described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Data Validity Range

This Privacy Policy applies to our processing of the personal data of the following individuals:

  • Contact persons at our customers, suppliers and business partners
  • Website visitors

2. Purpose, types of personal data and legal basis

Below we have listed the purposes for which we process personal data, the types of personal data we process, and the legal basis for such processing.

2.1 Processing of personal data about customers, suppliers and business partners

In order to fulfil our contractual obligations, as well as to provide you with services within our line of business, it is necessary for us to process some of your personal data. In this context, we will process the following data:

  • Name/name of contact person
  • Address
  • Email
  • Telephone number

This processing has a legal basis in GDPR Article 6 (1) (b) for the performance of an agreement with a business partner, or to take steps at the request of the business partner prior to entering into a contract.

2.2 Marketing

We distribute newsletters to email addresses we have received in connection with our services, as well as others who have requested to receive our newsletter. Recipients of the newsletter can easily unsubscribe from this service via the link included in each email.

The legal basis for this processing of data is either GDPR Article 6 (1) (f) (legitimate interest), since the recipient of the newsletter will have an interest in receiving news from us, or GDPR Article 6 (1) (a) (consent).

2.3 Cookies

Various cookies are sent to your device when you visit our website www.smart-vekst.no. A cookie is a file that is stored in your browser and allows the website to recognize your browser from time to time.

When you visit our website, a box will appear and you will be asked to either accept or reject the specified cookies. If we implement new cookies, this box will reappear and ask you to accept or reject the specified cookies.

The purpose of our use of cookies is to gain insight into user interactions on our website through anonymous registration, statistics and reporting. Please note that if you do not agree to our use of cookies, this may result in the services on our website not working optimally.

You can withdraw your consent to the use of cookies at any time. If you do not want the cookies to be stored, you can change the settings in your browser. You can also delete existing cookies. If you choose to delete or not accept cookies, you may experience reduced functionality on our website.

3. Parties with whom we share personal data

Our service providers may have access to personal data if the personal data is stored by the service provider or is otherwise available to the provider pursuant to their agreement with us.

Our service providers act in accordance with a data processing agreement and our instructions. The Service Provider may only use the Personal Data for a purpose predefined by us and as described in this Privacy Policy.

We do not share personal data in other ways or in cases other than those described in this Privacy Policy, unless explicitly requested or approved by the client, or the disclosure is required by law.

4. Storage of personal data

We will not store personal data for longer than necessary to achieve the purpose of the processing.

According to Norwegian accounting legislation, we are required to store certain accounting documents for a certain period. When personal data is stored for a specific period of time to fulfil a predefined purpose, we ensure that the personal data is used exclusively for that purpose during that period.

5. Your rights

You have the rights to all personal data that concerns you. Your specific rights depend on the circumstances of the case.

Withdrawal of consent

If you have consented to receive our newsletter, you can withdraw your consent at any time. We have made sure that it is easy for you to unsubscribe from these types of communications by including a link in each newsletter to unsubscribe from the service. If you have consented to other processing of personal data, you can also contact us at any time and withdraw your consent to this processing.

Request for access to information

You have the right to request information about the personal data that concerns you and that we have registered, as long as this does not conflict with the duty of confidentiality. To ensure that personal data is transferred to the right person, we may require a written request for access to information, or that ID is otherwise verified.

Request correction or deletion of information

You can request that we correct incorrect information about you, or that we delete your personal data. We will to the best of our ability comply with a request for deletion of personal data, but we cannot comply with it if there are strong reasons for not deleting it, for example if we need to keep the data for documentation reasons.

Data migration

In some cases, you may be able to access personal data you have provided to us in order to transfer the data to another company in a machine-readable format. If technology allows, in some cases it may be possible to transfer the data directly from us to the other company.

Appeal to the supervisory authority

If you disagree with the way we process your personal data, you can file a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.

6. Security

We have established procedures for handling personal data in a secure manner. The measures are of both a technical and organisational nature. We regularly assess the security of all important systems used to handle personal data, and agreements are in place that require providers of such systems to ensure adequate information security.

7. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may make small adjustments to this Privacy Policy. You can always find our latest version on our website. We will notify you in the event of any material changes.
